Light inspires vitality. It keeps the spirits alive and boosts performance. Lighting design serves the function of blending in with an architectural environment as well as with its respective interior design, thus supporting, punctuating and emphasising it. At idl, we relate the individual atmosphere created by lighting to the geographical realities, the local history and special features of the architecture.

With our representatives across Germany, we provide an individual and uncomplicated service. We make sure that our customers, among them well-known companies and corporations worldwide, receive our products quickly. Within Europe, expert idl representatives attend to our customers on-site. At our headquarters and production site in Limbach-Oberfrohna, we work together closely with architects, engineers, lighting designers as well as house builders.
Innovative thinking and state-of-the-art technologies enable us to provide maximum flexibility for our customers. The favourable opportunities of our location make it possible to offer a range from basic modules up to completely remote custom-made products. Our manufacturing is supplemented by in-house development and construction departments as well as state-of-the-art production facilities. Planning, construction and manufacturing coming all from one source, our flexible production and manufacturing processes also permit the realisation of especially challenging lighting fixtures and systems, such as products made to specification, or cost-effectively in small batches.
Since lighting is increasingly used as a creative and formative element in architecture, we counsel our customers well in advance while they are still in the planning process.
During the develoment of lighting solutions, aspects such as servicing and control are taken into consideration. Thus, fixtures and systems are developed in ways that make it possible to exchange illuminants without any tools or intelligent control technology.
